Diethylene glycol is an organic compound with the chemical formula (HOCH2CH2) 2O. DEG is a colorless, odorless, toxic, hygroscopic liquid with a sweet taste. Diethylene glycol is soluble in water, alcohol, ether, acetone and ethylene glycol.
