Linear alkyl benzene

What is Labsa?

The purpose of any detergent is to clean And to provide this feature, these products must contain some chemicals called surfactants or Surface active. Linear alkyl benzene Sulfonic acid (LABSA) has a high detergent and emulsifying power that is compatible with other surfactants in the formula of detergent products. It is also the cheapest surfactant in the world and is used in the formulation of detergent products as much as possible. Likewise it can be used as curing catalyst for amino baking varnishes.
Surfactants such as sulfonic acid, due to their special molecular structure, can dissolve fats and remove contaminants and grease from the washing environment. Various surfactants are produced in the world and are used in a variety of detergent products. If you read the label or label of a dishwashing liquid or shampoo, you will see that some of the ingredients in these labels are present in most detergent products.

Linear alkyl benzene (LABSA96) is widely used for producing various detergents and emulsifiers, such as washing powder, detergent of dishware, detergent of light or hard dirt, detergent for the textile industry, dyeing assistant, degreaser of plating and leather making industry, and the deinking agent of paper-making industry, etc. how to mix labsa with caustic soda,  Caustic soda, also known by other names such as caustic soda, caustic soda, and sodium hydroxide, is a highly alkaline ionic compound.

Linear alkylbenzenes is sulfonated to produce linear alkylbenzene sulfonate (LABSA96), a biodegradable surfactant. LABSA96 replaced branched dodecylbenzene sulfonates, which were phased out because they biodegrade more slowly.

Labsa uses in hair shampoo, bath shampoo, dish detergents and complex soap, laundry powder, dishware cleaner in daily chemical industrial Sulfonic acid is used in wetting and clearer , dyeing assistant in textile industry too . Sulfonic acid is the degrease agent in electroplate and leather industry, de-inking agent in paper industry.

Technical information about labsa

Sulfonic acid or linear alkyl benzene sulfonic acid (LABSA) is an anionic surfactant in the form of a brown viscous liquid that is produced and used in Malaysia with a purity of at least 96%. As the name implies, this material is acidic and corrosive and should be stored in steel tanks. The raw material of sulfonic acid is linear alkyl benzene, Linear alkyl benzene sulfonated in sulfonation plants to sulfonic acid. Sulfonic acid analysis produced by sulfonation plants differs from each other that technicians are able to distinguish between these differences. However, it should be noted that the active of all acids produced in these factories is at least 96%. we will inform more technical consult to our clients like msds and some other physical and chemical applications about Labsa .

Cheapest detergent in world

Sulfonic acid (LABSA) has a high detergent and emulsifying power that is compatible with other surfactants in the formula of detergent products. It is also the cheapest surfactant in the world and is used in the formulation of detergent products as much as possible. For example, in the dishwashing liquid formula, about 8 to 18% of sulfonic acid can be used, which is neutralized with sodium and converted to sulfonate.

Sulfonic acid or sulfonic acid under the brand name LABSA. Linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid LABSA is a compound of sulfur or organic sulfur, the general formula of which is RS (= O) 2 – OH. In this formula, R represents the alkyl or aryl group. Known as a successor or as a sulfo group.

In fact, it can be considered sulfuric acid, which has a hydroxyl group with a substituted organic moiety. Salts or esters of sulfonic acid are called sulfonates. The main constituents of maternal sulfonic acid are HS (= O) 2 (OH), totomer sulfur, S (= O) (OH) 2. Salts or esters of sulfonic acids are called sulfonates.

Method of production of sulfonic acid

The process of sulfonic acid production is different: sulfonic acids are produced by the sulfonation process. Sulfonate is usually caused by sulfur trioxide. The most widely used method of this method is the production of alkyl benzene sulfonic acids: in this reaction, sulfur trioxide is an electrophil and converts methane sulfonic acid to methane sulfonic acid under direct sulfonation.

Many alkane sulfonic acids are obtained from bisulfite, which is added to terminal alkenes or alkylated by alkyl halides: Sulfonic acids can be prepared by the oxidation of thiols. Sulfonic acid hydrolysis, Many sulfonic acids are prepared by the hydrolysis of sulfonyl halides and related raw materials. Thus, sulfonic perfluoro acetic acid is prepared by the hydrolysis of sulfonyl fluoride, which in turn is produced by the electro fluorescence of octane sulfonic acid.

Similarly, sulfonyl chloride from polyethylene is hydrolyzed to sulfonic acid. These sulfonyl chlorides are produced by the free radical reactions of chlorine, sulfur dioxide, and hydrocarbons using the Reed reaction. Vinyl sulfonic acid is produced by hydrolysis of carbyl sulfate, which in turn is obtained by adding sulfur trioxide to ethylene.
